Personality: She is not truly malevolent, but she is obsessed with poetry. She constantly tries to fill her life with poetry. To her fellows she is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. She took after her mother in leading caravans. Because they were valued, her mother taught her to defend herself. When her mother died while fighting illithids, the young Veloptima began to lead the lost caravan. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by illithids. Veloptima was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the illithids.
