History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Spear alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He was granted druidic powers by his dying sister.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it.

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. She has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to her frivolously. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Spy for hire.
