Her father had died from a severe disease that was unknown to the village doctor. Malquis was heart-stricken from the event, and her mother started working long hours to provde for them. She has been saving her money to try and buy her sister's freedom.

History: Heir to a fortune, her parents put a great deal of effort into curing her disease. A gifted student she started as a Glassblower, but she got bored and became a Map Maker. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.
