Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. The war was a terrible time for him, and Robert does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He was born in the south. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Robert was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. In the meantime he has taken over work as a Courier and occasionally as a mercenary.

History: Born in the north to a Scribe, Abalaba learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. A gifted student she started as a Assassin, but she got bored and became a Scribe. She tends to her Scribe job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

Motivation: To prove her worth to the world; and she is unsatisfied with her job

Description: He is a husky man, who wears a worn and beaten armor. His black hair is long and unkept. His face is covered beneath a completely black helmet.

Personality: Confrontational and typically high on some drug or another. He uses his nature as a weapon; he likes to lead opponents to think him in distress.

History: Ralf lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. While he appears to be a normal Human, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and to reunite with his absent mother

Description: This eastern man is dressed in an above average manner. His clothes are grease stained in places. He wears a Stetson hat to hide his balding. His eyes are hazel and catlike.

Personality: He hates gnolls. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. He haggles over everything, upselling his goods and buying cheap. He is persistent in everything.

History: Born to a Mortician, his mother struggled to pay the bills. He took after his mother in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his mother taught him to defend himself. When his mother died while fighting gnolls, the young Howard began to lead the lost caravan. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: A deep hatred of gnolls; and someone believes him a fraud
