History: Caeldrim hails from a village terrorized by illithids. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He wants revenge against illithids; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it

History: Damaia was raised in a hard working conservative environment. While studying, she fell in love. They married and had a son. She is searching for what she claims is her rightful reward.
