History: When he was but 5 years old his parents immigrated from the east. He was taken from his home at a very young age. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Rurik was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the illithids.

Motivation: He has a crush on the local Carter; and he is wracked by social anxiety
