History: She comes from a rich southern family. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Gnomes in the south were limited. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Emerald and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: She was raised in a desert tribe. Her childhood dream was to be a Bellfounder, but she was a colossal failure. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Engraver for hire.
