History: He got into the Fortune-teller business at a young age. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Fortune-teller. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Fortune-teller for hire.

Personality: She has a massive crush on the younger sibling of the Apothecary who has hired her part-time. She is fiercely devoted to her father, and views her father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating her from her legal half-brother.

History: Born in the east to a Apothecary, Edge learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. Being born in the east, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the east for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way north. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the west. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered writing. She's also a talented Architect, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Personality: She is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before her hampering stammer kicks in. She is cautious and jumpy. She reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: Eva was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her father was employed at, doing general labor. In her formative years she discovered how persuasive she was. She began using that to her advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She is terrified, and will act out of fear; and retire the richest woman in the east
