History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Marastyr grew up listening to her father's many stories. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. Some 3 years later her spouse died after the birth of her daughter. Heartbroken, Philomena never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her daughter whom she trained as her mother had trained her before.

History: Anverth lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and a rival would like him out of the picture
