History: When he was but 5 years old his parents immigrated from the north. Since his father passed away years ago, his mother had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. Some 2 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Cairn never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his father had trained him before.

Personality: She is enamored with her job. She loves it. She likes the challenge and she likes helping those less fortunate than her. She moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep her interest for a month it is impressive.

History: The child of southern immigrants she idolized her mother. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: She is unsatisfied with her job.

Personality: He likes to brag about his accomplishments and constantly tries to beat others to the punch. He is lazy, self-centered, vain, and jealous.

History: He is a Deep Scion in disguise. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Taklinn grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Taklinn. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

Motivation: He wants revenge against goblins; and he's looking for his big break

Description: A plain young-adult woman, she wears grey robes with leather pauldrons. Though occasionally she wears more armor. She prefers to carry a halberd, but if one is not available she will default to her dagger. Her golden hair is thinning but still full. She wears an eyepatch.

Personality: She is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of her strength. She works very hard to maintain that gentleness. She is fiercely devoted to her mother, and views her mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating her from her legal half-sister.

History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. Her mother disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her mother, she was betrayed dozens of times. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: Her relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and to reunite with her absent mother
