History: A child with a great deal of writing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. A few years later when the south was not economically sound they moved to his current location. After a long history of fighting, Gerard and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: She was born several months after her father was called into army service. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered painting. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She has decided she is irredeemable; and a rival would like her out of the picture

Description: A plain young-adult man, he wears dull black sweaters, loose white pants, and alligator leather shoes. Beneath his sweater he keeps a concealed shield, just in case. His hair is white, silky, and of moderate length. His fair skin shows little sign of his aristocratic breeding.

Personality: He fancies himself a trickster and likes to rely on his wits to carry the day. He cares for his older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. He is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: He was born into a rich family. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Motivation: He uses money and sex appeal to get what he needs; and to reunite with his absent mother

Personality: She can speak with the recently deceased. As long as the job gets done she does not care how it got done.

History: Murook lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the west, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the west for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way south. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.

Motivation: Her relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and regain custody of her son
