History: He got into the Navigator business at a young age. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Ortegar alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by gnolls. Ortegar was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the gnolls.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it; and to reunite with his old friends

Personality: He is happy with his job as a Dyer. He turns his eye from what people do, preferring to live and let live. He is very protective of his business, his home, and his spouse. He is willing to work with less than legal methods but maintains the front of legitimacy.

History: Mugrunden was raised in a hard working conservative environment. His parents were killed by drow in a raid when he was still a young child. The drow captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

Motivation: He possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal.

Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. A friendly and beautiful Dwarf, he is rarely seen without a few beauties around his arms. Though a playboy in all rights, he is no lame duck.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: Many illithids want him driven away; and revenge

Personality: She trusts no one. She is not readily capable for forgiveness and her ire never leaves her. She is harsh and unforgiving.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Courier. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: To protect her home; and she'd like to take her coworkers down a peg
