History: Born in the east his family was never financially stable. His mother worked until he suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. He had to support his now crippled mother and took his mother's old job. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.

Description: This woman stands a little under 3'5" and is a bit bulky. She is very muscular particularly in the legs. She does not wear sleeves and tends to eschew shirts when she can avoid it. She has a long blonde ponytail with little hanging trinkets. This hazel eyed westerner is not easily forgotten.

Personality: She can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. She misses her home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: She was born in the west, but her parents moved at a very young age to the south. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Farmer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She has dedicated herself to building a better world.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Bella embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. She has a small toy that she constantly fidgets with.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. She has had some formal dancing training, and achieved minor success. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother; and her relatives are trying to arrange a marriage

Description: Relatively heavier built than your average man, he is not imposing. His skin is flawless and his green eyes scan people very quickly.

Personality: He dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the south. He plays an instrument quite well.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. In his formative years he discovered how persuasive he was. He began using that to his advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. He has never given up on his dancing dream.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs
