History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. After a long history of fighting, Halander and his spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: While she acts the brute, she is far gentler than she would appear. Her philosophy is that everyone needs a friend and as such shows hospitality towards all.

History: She was born in a small mountains village. Shadow liked to wander the woods near her home when she was young, something she still likes to do at least once a week. She never liked modest clothing or shoes, so she would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and she developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. She's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: To protect her home; and to get a good night's sleep

Description: Relatively heavier built than your average man, he is not imposing. His white hair is cut short with large spiked bangs in the front. He has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. He wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: He likes to be helpful to his clients. He likes to prescribe proper advice to his clients. A true patriot, Sapply would do anything for his country. He is fiercely protective of his fellow citizens and foreign allies.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Sapply grew up listening to his mother's many stories. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Carter responsibilities is difficult.

History: The child of northern immigrants she idolized her father. Her mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her mother was legitimate. She has recently attracted an admirer that believes she's playing hard to get.

Motivation: She wants to get laid; and she is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs
