History: Born in the south to a Miner, Paelias learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. He has had some formal painting training, and achieved minor success. He has worked as a Miner like his father before him.

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. She worked as a nervous Animal Trainer and found it very stressful. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Motivation: A rival would like her out of the picture; and she is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions

History: The child of southern immigrants she idolized her mother. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Tieflings in the south were limited. After a long history of fighting, Damaia and her spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and she desires to right it.
