Personality: She fancies herself a trickster and likes to rely on her wits to carry the day. She cares for her older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. She dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. Her biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: Matilda hails from a village terrorized by giants. Her mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She has been saving her money to try and buy her brother's freedom.

She usually doesn't wear a shirt, and her gloved hand is found clutching a mace. Her auburn hair is braided into rings. Her face is covered beneath a completely black helmet.

Personality: She acts crazy and hedonistic. She is used to getting what she wants. In part because she is a meticulous planner.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. She found a children's book about a Dwarf Cleric who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. In her journeys she found a malevolent artifact. She wishes to return this artifact and its corrupting influence back to where it came.

Motivation: Her religion dominates her actions; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark

Description: She is a small woman, but exceptionally fit. She wears long strands of amethyst and short brown dresses (or suits) accompanied by the proper stockings and shoes, with gloves of varying lengths. She has styled her cinnamon fur well, parting it to the left. Her amber eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.

Personality: She dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the south. She feeds upon the attention of others.

History: Left-Handed was born with her father's beautiful face. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Left-Handed grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Left-Handed. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Motivation: She feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help; and a rival would like her out of the picture

Description: A woman with a friendly, welcoming air about her, she has a large brown mantle and cape that has been intricately interwoven into her blue robe. She sports a flattop hair cut. Her voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.

Personality: Jarana hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate her. It was this clingy personality that held back her singing career. She is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes her no end of embarrassment.

History: Jarana lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Dwarves in the west were limited. She left for the west, certain she would find work there.

Motivation: Her relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and she is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally
