History: His mother raised him in a mountain cabin. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

History: She was born in a small forest village. Cursed with vampirism at a very young age, Doudra has worked very hard to control her curse. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Courier and was forced into it by her family; and find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother

Personality: He resents people who mock his appearance or him, so he has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. As he has aged he has sought to do reparations for his actions as a youth. He is also making sure that his compatriots who never received punishment for their crimes are brought to justice.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His childhood dream was to be a Performer, but he was a colossal failure. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: Seeks redemption; and he has money and likes to spend it
