His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

Motivation: To protect his home; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions

History: Born in the south her family was never financially stable. Her childhood dream was to be a Body Guard, but she was a colossal failure. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother; and sabotage a competitor

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.
