Personality: Spear speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. She is clearly well-traveled and educated. Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Spear is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Darrow embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. Some 2 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Darrow never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.
