History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Dwarven conditions. Some 6 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Thorin never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
