History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the west. Her homeland was ravaged by war and she spent much of her life rebuilding it. Recently a tribe of giants attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Lone fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: She feels the way she acts is they only way to get by in the world; and to fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever

History: Shax lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the north, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the north for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way west. She now owns her own business.

Motivation: A rival would like her out of the picture; and she is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions
