History: Vlorn was raised in a hard working conservative environment. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Vlorn grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Vlorn. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature flail.

Personality: He hates dire rats. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He has no love for corruption and racketeering and views those as crimes of the highest magnitude.

History: Thorpe hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. Being a Performer kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.
