Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Engraver they were divorced and he won custody of their son. History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. Through the years after Valanthe was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Valanthe's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: He is quiet and unassuming. He ignores others and carries on with his job unassumingly. He invented a lineage for himself and claims to be descended from several legendary heroes.

History: Riardon hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He has worked as a Ruler like his father before him.
