History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Spear was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Like his father and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Priest. He now owns his own business.

History: Qualen hails from a village terrorized by brigands. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He now mingles about in high society.

Personality: Rinn hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate her. It was this clingy personality that held back her writing career. She invented a lineage for herself and claims to be descended from several legendary heroes.

History: Born in the south her family was never financially stable. She went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. She has never given up on her writing dream.
