Personality: William wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Paladin, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... History: Born in the east to a Ploughman, Zanna learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. A gifted student she started as a Stableman, but she got bored and became a Ploughman. She now mingles about in high society.

History: Gerald was born with his father's beautiful face. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He now mingles about in high society.

Personality: Stoic and calm, she prefers to meditate than take action. She is fiercely devoted to her father, and views her father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating her from her legal half-brother.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother; and her relatives are trying to arrange a marriage
