History: Phelaia lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Her mother had died from a severe disease that was unknown to the village doctor. Phelaia was heart-stricken from the event, and her father started working long hours to provde for them. She's also a talented Mason, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Personality: She is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of her strength. She works very hard to maintain that gentleness. She also is a firm believer in the womanly ideal.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Roywyn was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She struck it rich when she found rare goods in large quantities. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. She worked as a nervous Fisher and found it very stressful. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

Personality: He is happy with his job as a Navigator. He turns his eye from what people do, preferring to live and let live. He is underhanded and not above using his wealth and body to get others to do his bidding.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
