History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Raiann was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She struck it rich when she found rare goods in large quantities. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

Motivation: She doesn't get along with people that don't share her tastes; and she feels the way she acts is they only way to get by in the world
