History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. She was one of the best in her class, and was picked up by her current employer. She quickly showed her capability and was soon promoted to a head role. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Raiann grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Raiann. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.
