History: Gale was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her mother was employed at, doing general labor. Her martial abilities were realized during a raid on her village. She has became unsatisfied with her lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.
