Personality: Ahlyssa wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Adept, so she tries to act the part. She does a good job, for the most part... She is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Humans.

History: Ahlyssa was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Adept, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Adept in service of a powerful lord somewhere. Her mother disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her mother, she was betrayed dozens of times. She has became unsatisfied with her lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

History: She got into the Bookbinder business at a young age. She was one of the best in her class, and was picked up by her current employer. She quickly showed her capability and was soon promoted to a head role. She ran away from her former home and has been making her living as a Bookbinder for the past few years.

Motivation: Regain custody of her son; and she is unsatisfied with her job

Personality: He has a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor. He is not one for noise or eating so much, which is in direct contrast with his big mouthed big gutted partner. His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. He also has developed a complete distrust of the Knight profession.

History: He was born in a small island village. His parents were killed by brigands in a raid when he was still a young child. The brigands captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Tiefling artifacts is his passion.
