History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Baern grew up listening to his mother's many stories. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the desert to a summer home near a large cave. He would wander through that large cave and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the desert due to the painful memories there. Baern took refuge in the large cave and found the beat up flail and armor he uses now. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature flail.

History: Giselle was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Being born in the north, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the north for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way south. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her sister.

History: He was born into a rich family. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of freemasons.
