History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Uadjit was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. One night she noticed a nearby shooting star which she hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. She has done her darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his father. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Halflings in the north were limited. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

History: He comes from a rich eastern family. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: To be a Laborer again; and an old rival family wants him found
