History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature lance.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. She made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by gnolls. Rieta was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the gnolls.

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To reunite with his old friends; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark
