History: Callie lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Her mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her mother was legitimate. She has been saving her money to try and buy her brother's freedom.

Motivation: To unite with her brother; and she has a rivalry with the church that dominates her actions

History: She was born in a small desert village. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
