History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He worked as a nervous Mortician and found it very stressful. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. As a young child he wandered into the woods despite his father's warnings against it. Afterwards he claimed he had encountered giants who tried to eat his hand. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by giants. River was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the giants.

History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. Brilliant and gifted she never wanted to apply herself. She left for the west, certain she would find work there.

Motivation: She wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and to get a good night's sleep
