History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when drow swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In her 17th year, her parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Verin alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

His mother had died from a severe disease that was unknown to the village doctor. Iados was heart-stricken from the event, and his father started working long hours to provde for them.
