He has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. He wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: He is inclined to make off color jokes and interpret anything that could be construed as such as innuendo. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of giants may trigger it at times.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: She fancies herself a trickster and likes to rely on her wits to carry the day. She cares for her older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. She loves being with her children and actually smiles when they are around. She would do anything for them. She dislikes her ex a great deal.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Her father worked until she suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. She had to support her now crippled father and took her father's old job. Some 9 years later her spouse died after the birth of her daughter. Heartbroken, Mialee never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her daughter whom she trained as her father had trained her before.

Personality: He is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help his friends. He considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. He cannot resist a sob story and will often dote over anyone who has one.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.
