History: When she was but 8 years old her parents immigrated from the west. Through the years after Serpent was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Serpent's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of specialists.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. Nim liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: Here is a woman who knows she is the smartest in the room. She talks down to others constantly. She disdains her fellow southerners, claiming they make her look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: She was born into a rich family. Cursed with a spirit at a very young age, Xanaphia has worked very hard to control her curse. She left for the south, certain she would find work there.

Motivation: She doesn't get along with people that don't share her tastes.
