History: Jade hails from a village terrorized by illithids. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Jade alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: She was born into a rich family. She was an adventurer many years ago and she formed a blood bond with her Human companion (her 'brother'). She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Her family was turned out during the war. She and her family wandered south to less war torn lands. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
