The war was a terrible time for her, and Emmeline does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: She was born at the edge of vast plains. Emmeline liked to wander the woods near her home when she was young, something she still likes to do at least once a week. She never liked modest clothing or shoes, so she would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and she developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered writing. He became a Unemployed soon after.
