History: The child of a Dyer, who enjoyed hunting, Shamash was taken on many hunting expeditions. In his 11th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Shamash alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

History: She was born into a rich family. When she was little, her rather wealthy family often ventured across the island to a summer home near a old dungeon. She would wander through that old dungeon and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and she was stranded inside. Her family spent the next few days looking for her, and could only assume she was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the island due to the painful memories there. Tricking took refuge in the old dungeon and found the beat up bastard sword and armor she uses now. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature bastard sword.
