Personality: He fancies himself a trickster and likes to rely on his wits to carry the day. He cares for his older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. He keeps company with all sorts of races to see how they think and challenge minds foreign to his own.

History: He was born in a small island village. He dropped out of school to support his sick mother, and resented it. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: Quarethon was born in the north. At a young age he loved to build and create. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Personality: She is erratic and paranoid. She believes dire rats are coming to abduct people. She does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: A child with a great deal of music talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. Being born in the west, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the west for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way south. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Servant they were divorced and she won custody of their daughter. She worked as a Miller, and she later adopted a second daughter.

Motivation: She has a rivalry with the Church that dominates her actions; and regain custody of her daughter
