History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when goblins swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His religion dominates his actions.

History: Trained by her mother for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. Aline was a troubled youth. She spent her days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent her evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Aline decided she wanted neither the life of her mother nor that of the evil petty criminals she associated with. During her early adolescence, she took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. She inherited the family business which she has now maintained for 10 years.

Motivation: She has decided she is irredeemable; and she has a rivalry with the church that dominates her actions

History: When she was but 8 years old her parents immigrated from the south. She has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to her frivolously. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

Motivation: To reunite with her old friends; and she has money and likes to spend it
