History: A powerful brothel owner made him what he is. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Her mother disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her mother, she was betrayed dozens of times. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her daughters to still be retired.

Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. He is able to fit into much smaller and tighter spaces than normal.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a goblins raid, leaving Adrik alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

History: His arcane talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: Wishes to resurrect an old love; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions
