History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. She was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Description: A woman with a warm, jovial air about her, she wears a large hat to cast shadows over her face and wears ponchos to better hide her body. She has slicked back brown hair. Her face possesses mild wrinkles. Her smile is extraordinarily sincere though she does not smile often.
Personality: She is a Soapmaker first and foremost. She believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. She has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.
History: She got into the Soapmaker business at a young age. When she was little, her rather wealthy family often ventured across the plains to a summer home near a large cave. She would wander through that large cave and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and she was stranded inside. Her family spent the next few days looking for her, and could only assume she was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the plains due to the painful memories there. Hlin took refuge in the large cave and found the beat up morningstar and armor she uses now. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother; and wants to open a new tavern

Description: This slender man stands about 6'3". He is generally shirtless and showing off his tattooed chest. His feathered hat is riddled with cuts and holes. His eyes are likewise silver.
Personality: A deeply religious man he believes everything happens for a reason. He has the money to obtain near anything and knows that if you pay a man enough he will sell his own mother. Money is his most trusted friend.
History: He was born in the south, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Bowyer. He now mingles about in high society.
Motivation: He feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world; and he'd like to take his coworkers down a peg

Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. He takes great joy in being the best Bookbinder in town.
History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
Motivation: Wants to raise his children well; and marry his brother to traveling adventurers
