Description: A woman with a warm, jovial air about her, she does not wear sleeves and tends to eschew shirts when she can avoid it. She wears her white hair up in a very large beehive style do. Her hazel eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.

Personality: She is very quiet and rarely speaks above a whisper. She does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of gnolls may trigger it at times.

History: Jane was born with her father's beautiful face. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Jane grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Jane. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by gnolls. Jane was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the gnolls.

Motivation: Wishes to resurrect an old love; and she wants revenge against gnolls

Description: His skin has the orange glow of too much sun. He usually wears his tan robe and has his hammer always slung over his shoulder. He wears a deerstalker hat to hide his balding. His eyes, though not visible through his cowl, are gray.

Personality: Confrontational and typically high on some drug or another. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: Crampernap lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of philosophers.

Motivation: He feels threatened by others; and wants to raise his children well

Personality: In the realm of puns, he cannot help himself. He feels obliged to make them. He is kind towards other men and children and will generally offer men help without question. Others will generally need to prove themselves to him.

History: A powerful necromancer made him what he is. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

Motivation: Wants to raise his children well; and regain custody of his son

Description: She is an average looking southern female in her early mid-life. She wears dull blue sweaters, loose pastel pants, and alligator leather shoes. Beneath her sweater she keeps a concealed spear, just in case. Her golden hair is cut jaggedly and amateurishly. Her fair skin shows little sign of her aristocratic breeding.

Personality: She's a bit of a prankster. She knows she is clumsy and seen as such and will often feign amnesia after injury. She also has developed a complete distrust of the Scribe profession.

History: Her mother raised her in a mountain cabin. At a young age both her parents were killed in an accident. Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Expand her business; and she is a bit of a kleptomaniac
