History: Nalaed was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Paladin, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Paladin in service of a powerful lord somewhere. She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. She has dedicated herself to building a better trade route.

History: Wiggan was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Map Maker work with an outfit from a few towns over. Map Maker work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: She was raised in a island tribe. Her father disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her father, she was betrayed dozens of times. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.
