History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Personality: He speaks before he thinks and is too direct. He is a thrill seeker, he laughs at people and throws down challenges. He is highly competitive and combative.

History: Hamil was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Sorcerer, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Sorcerer in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Mercenary.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Mercenary responsibilities is difficult; and he wants to meet his childhood hero

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Duvamil was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She has set out to sabotage the competition.
