History: Born to a Fletcher, his father struggled to pay the bills. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Detective work with an outfit from a few towns over. Detective work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He's also a talented Fletcher, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the west. Her mother was a mechanic, and taught her how to fix just about anything. One night she noticed a nearby shooting star which she hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. She has done her darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and she wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

Personality: He hates dire rats. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Ostracized due to the arcane powers of his oldest brother, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Half-Elves became a terror of the countryside. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Varis was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the dire rats.

Personality: She never swears and excessively uses polite adverbs when speaking. She does not mind isolation but does not hate company and attempts to receive them as best as possible.

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.
