Personality: Rurik is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He spends most of his days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There he gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his mother. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: He is wracked by social anxiety; and he feels kind of lost in life

Personality: This woman loves singing and to teach people singing more than just about anything. She can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. A serious injury left her mother unemployed and in need of constant care. Her family became saddled with debt trying to care for her infirm mother. She has never given up on her singing dream.

Motivation: She made a deal with a demon which lead to her current lot in life, and she's becoming increasingly nervous about it.
